ABOUT US
The Newton Bluefish is a recreational swim team that participates in both the Summer Suburban Swim League and Winter Suburban Swim League. The team consists of swimmers between the ages of six through eighteen. Newton Bluefish works to develop each swimmer to reach their individual potential by coaching the basic fundamentals of each stroke at every practice. This gives each swimmer the opportunity to achieve competitive success. Swimmers are expected to practice and attend meets.

The team is designed for any youth seeking the opportunity to challenge themself to achieve excellence in competitive swimming. Athletes will receive quality coaching and training, including the development of good stroke technique. Team members are shown how to set goals and how to meet them through teamwork, commitment, cooperation, determination and good sportsmanship.

The Summer Suburban Swim League consists of Canton, Dedham, Medfield, Natick, Needham, Norwood, Sherborn, Walpole and Westwood.

The Winter Suburban Swim League consists of Belmont, Brookline, Dedham, Framingham, Milford, Natick, Sudbury, Wellesley, Westboro, Weston and Westwood.

Mary and Scott have been coaching the team since June 1980. The main goal of the program is to teach all aspects of competitive swimming as well as for each swimmer to enjoy the sport!
